Fabrication

CMC is a full service machine shop with large diameter turning capabilities up to 120” in diameter and 15’ in length, CNC capabilities of

24” in diameter and 42” in length as well as the ability to turn shafts 24” in diameter and 15’ in length.   Our massive library of specifications and drawings enables CMC to fabricate an extensive list of components that are no longer being serviced by the OEM.  If your needs require an assembly or component not already found in our library, CMC has the ability to reverse engineer onsite.  Our quick response to your needs gives us the flexibility to get your company back to production speed.

Wear Resistant Metals & Alloys:  As a technological innovator, CMC is an industry leader in flame spray coatings such as tungsten carbide and nickel chrome boron.

Statistics show that these coatings as well as the other ceramic coatings we specialize in will yield a lifespan of two-to-seven times greater than conventional stainless steel depending on application.  The additional cost of special coatings is far less than the cumulative replacement cost of uncoated parts and greatly increases overall productivity.

Complete Pump Repair Services

With a full service repair shop as well as an onsite foundry, CMC is one of the premier repair facilities in the Southeast.  Our ability to come to your plant with a field service crew, remove your equipment, repair to OEM specifications and reinstall is second to none.  CMC’s modern equipment, expert technicians and a highly skilled quality control staff allow us to ensure that you will receive a quality end product.  We can repair your equipment, improve on the OEM specifications or remanufacture a new component from scratch.

Component Salvage to Production Program

With the continual decline of high nickel alloy raw materials and the aggressive selling of offshore entities of these used materials, critical components that require their use will continue to suffer from longer and longer lead times.  The inability of our competitors to acquire these alloys may eventually cause the loss of significant production.  CMC has developed a program to help ensure that your components and assemblies utilizing these special alloys are always available nearby.
